As one of the few fully independently owned music companies, Rising Sun Records takes pride in its autonomy and creative freedom.
The company boasts a dedicated team of about thirty staff members and is continually expanding its roster of talented artists.
Among its ranks are renowned record executives who collectively bring over 200 years of experience in the music industry.
A unique aspect of Rising Sun Records is its engagement with two Facebook groups specifically created by Earl J. Foster Jr., the CEO of the company.
These groups, known as “ProEars” and “The Listener’s,” play a crucial role in the feedback process.
ProEars consists of music professionals who provide valuable insights on every release, offering both positive and constructive criticism.
After this peer review, tracks are then shared with The Listener’s, a group of everyday music enthusiasts whose opinions help determine which tracks will be selected for release.
