Murray Middleman

Murray “The Horn” Middleman

Grew up surrounded by music, cutting his teeth in his father’s Philadelphia dance band before he was ten.

A prodigy on clarinet and saxophone, he trained under jazz luminaries Jimmy Amadee and Vince Trombetta, and classical masters such as Donald Montanaro of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

By 14, he was leading his own jazz group and performing original compositions on PBS.
After graduating from the University of the Arts, Murray became a fixture in the Philadelphia scene, sharing stages with Bobby Durham and Dr. Shirley Scott.

An invitation from Count Basie trombonist Al Grey led to a performance with Buddy Rich at Storyville in New York—where Rich famously called him “a first-rate man.”
Relocating to Los Angeles in the 1980s, Murray’s virtuosity made him one of the city’s most in-demand saxophonists, performing with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, and Sammy Davis Jr.

In 1985, he founded Park Avenue West Entertainment, producing top-tier music for galas, concerts, and private events nationwide.

Today, Murray continues to champion the American Songbook, performing alongside distinguished artists like Milcho Leviev, Desi Arnaz Jr., and Jennifer Leitham, carrying forward a lifelong devotion to jazz artistry and timeless musical style.

Will Miller

Will Miller left a prestigious position with The U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors; escaping a physically and overly demanding tour of duty as a lead trumpet player.

He landed in Hollywood to pursue a much different career objective but stumbled a couple of months in with severe chop problems.

The rigorous touring schedules from his Army days had an adverse effect on his trumpet embouchure and finally caught up with him.

But despite the setbacks, Will Miller would somehow overcome adversity. He would never be in his top form again, but he consistently worked hard enough to secure space on the stage to perform with some of the greats such as Aretha Franklin, Lionel Ritchie, Barrie White, Natalie Cole, Quincy Jones, The Temptations, The O Jays, The Four Tops, Ray Charles, Billy Preston, The Brand New Heavies, Kool n The Gang, H.B. Barnum, Disney and a host of others.
