I Am The Way
John 14:6
What Truly Matters
When you look at photos of your younger self, with a fit body, clear skin, bright eyes, and all your teeth, you’re essentially viewing a snapshot of a particular stage in your life.
Life unfolds in various stages, each with its own beginning, middle, and end, along with countless micro-moments that together form the entirety of our existence.
Peggy Lee once sang a song that posed the timeless question, “Is that all there is?”
As a Christian, I find my answer in the Bible, which assures me with certainty that there is indeed more to life than what we currently see.
If you don’t believe in God and view Him as a myth, that’s your choice. God created us in His image and granted us free will to choose our own paths.
Some choose to believe, while others do not, and that decision is entirely personal.
Even if you don’t see the Bible as the word of God, it’s undeniable that it serves as a remarkable historical text.
Living by its teachings, such as the Ten Commandments, can guide anyone toward becoming a better person.
However, being a good person alone isn’t enough to reach Heaven. Belief is essential. As Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
I was raised in the church, and I recognize that sometimes it can become a place of moral struggle. The devil knows that churches are filled with people striving to connect with God, and he seeks to disrupt their journey.
Even holy men are not immune, as they are human and face the same temptations as everyone else.
Our time on earth is just a fleeting moment, but eternity is everlasting.
